Okay...
So my last update was an entire season of the year ago. Oh wells =]

Since then there's been a helluvalot going on. January exams, their results, my trip back home, my 18th bday are all examples.

Hmm, first on the agenda - Exams, lets get the shit outta the way. Exams, I thought, went pretty well, however I didn't do as well as expected. Saying that, it's not like I failed or whatever, I passed every damned one of them. I sat 2 English papers, and English re-sit from last year and a Spanish re-sit also from last year. Respectively I got A (poetry, d'uh), C,C,C. Hmm.
No matter what the grades were, I'm lucky (and I guess smart enough) that I have enough points to be in the boundary of the grades I need ot go to the uni's I want. Glasgow needs ABB and that's exactly what I am so far and what I've been predicted on average throughout the past year. SO YAY! Let's just forget bout exams til the June ones start....'cept with my languages I'll have the oral exams the first week of May. Grr-argh.

Oh, now happy news can be told. =] I went home for 4 days. In February, claiming to 'look around the uni's I was interested in' but really going to see my adorable little baby nephew Ruaraidh (pronounced Roo-ray) who was born on Xmas morn' 2007! He's so adorable and funny and cute, my mum and I were hatching a plan to kidnap him, but .... it really wouldn't have worked. Plus I'll maybe babysit him from time to time when I'm back home. I taught him a few things, mostly facial expressions I found useful like the puppy-dog-please-can-I-have-it look, and I taught him how to stick out his tongue. How great am I? Now he does it non-stop. At anything. At everything. Never let it be said I'm not influential, just shove me in a room with a baby or toddler and you'll see just how much I can change people. (*reads that sentence again, realises the perverted paedophilia-ness within and glares at anyone immature enough to think anything along those lines ¬_¬*)

Woot. OK, birthday. I'm eighteen?!!!! How great is that? Yeah, no. My bday was nothing special. It also happened to be the Prophet Muhammeds bday too, so we were off school and an influx of wellwishers and cards were received chez moi. That ruined the day. I had a tonne of work needing doing. Oh well. Later that evening we went to my parents friends and there were 2 other families there, and my best friend out here, Tasha, was with her family. It was fun, in a relaxed 'Oh, it's your bday, happy bday' kinda way. Tash and I walked, and talked, and decided I need a guy. ¬_¬ We always decide that, but... it just never happens, does it? Now onto the real excitement. My joint bday party at my friend Corrine's house (it was her 17th the same day as mine - as well as my 'fling-thing' as Tash and I dubbed Joe, well it was his new boyfriends bday ...he has red hair....same fashion, musical and movie sense as me...coinkidink?). We had all fallen out, had arguments, gotten pissy, changed plans, thrown strops, etc etc etc. but that night we all fell back into place, and even further into our friendships and the consummation of alcohol. Lots and lots of alcohol. The only way to drink alcohol really. Lots of people turned up, we had a dress theme of 'British sub-culture' which kinda expanded into just about anything. Emily came as a Nazi, Lewis came as a Nu-raver, Corrine herself was a Glam-rocker, Nomi was a Gothic-Japanese-Anime-Cat-eared-BDSM-Fairy-thing and I, contrary to what people thought I'd go as (and emo of course) turned up looking very smart as an Indie-Prep-kid. So hot. Never got any guys, but every single girl said they'd have slept with me if I were straight. SWo instead they just went and made me drinks. Friendship - really pays off sometimes! Haha

So now it's the Easter holidays, I'm not going anywhere, got tonnes of work, but I'm happy. First time in a long while I can honestly say that, but I am. I've accepted a lot of things and I think I'm maturing just a rad, even though I'm becoming more lazy towards school stuff - it's not the be all and end all of everything....Well, not yet anyway. =]
